The Employment Training Panel (ETP) in California is a business and labor supported state agency that assists employers in strengthening their competitive edge by providing funds to off-set the costs of job skills training necessary to maintain high-performance workplaces. ETP is governed by an 8 member Panel; seven are appointed by the Governor and the Assembly and Senate leadership. The Secretary of Business, Transportation and Housing, or his/her designee, shall serve as ex officio, voting member.
In 2006, the California Department of Veterans Affairs, California Community Colleges, California Employment Development Department, California Department of Industrial Relations and California Labor & Workforce Development Agency began a partnership to assist veterans and their families transition into civilian life by offering career, training, and education opportunities. Some of their programs and services include employment and career guidance assistance, apprenticeship opportunities, specialized access and training at community colleges, and health and financial assistance.
The Center for Veterans Enterprise (CVE) creates breakthrough opportunities for veteran-owned small businesses by collaborating with like-minded individuals and organizations who passionately believe that Veterans in Business are Still Serving America!
